Pet Evolution Guide for Giant Simulator REBORN

Pet evolution is a new progression system introduced in the 2026 summer update. Event pets can be evolved using Shells to unlock dramatically higher multipliers across coin, soul, quest points, and Shell gain rates. This guide explains the evolution mechanic, stat scaling, and investment priority for every event pet line.

How Pet Evolution Works

Purchase a base event pet from the summer event shop using Shells or event points. Once owned, spend additional Shells at the evolution station to upgrade the pet to its evolved form. Evolved pets retain all standard pet properties — they persist through rebirth, occupy a pet slot, and stack with fusion tiers from the standard pet system.

Evolution is separate from the King and Rainbow fusion system. You can evolve an event pet and later fuse duplicates if you collect enough copies, though event pets are typically acquired individually rather than in bulk.

Stat Scaling on Evolution

Evolved pets roughly double their base multipliers across coin, soul, and quest point stats. Shell boost multipliers increase proportionally, which is the primary reason to evolve — higher Shell gain accelerates every remaining event purchase.

For example, a mid-tier event pet with 2× coin/soul/quest and 1.1× Shell boost evolves to approximately 4×/4×/4× with 2.2× Shell boost. Top-tier pets like Coco scale even higher, making them the best long-term investment even after the event ends.

Which Pets to Evolve First

Evolve Coco first if you can afford it — community testing confirms it outperforms Bully, the previous S-tier pet. If Coco is out of reach, evolve your highest purchased pet before buying additional lower-tier pets. Spreading Shells across multiple unevolved pets is less efficient than maxing one evolved pet.

Shell boost is the most valuable stat during the active event window because it compounds every future Shell earning session. Prioritize pets with the highest Shell multiplier over pets with slightly better coin or XP stats.

Evolution vs Standard Fusion

Standard fusion requires five identical pets for King tier and twenty-five total for Rainbow tier. Event pet evolution uses Shells instead of duplicate copies, making it faster for players who cannot farm bulk pet drops.

For most players during the summer event, evolution delivers better returns per hour played than chasing Giant-modifier pets on the standard drop table. After the event ends, evolved event pets remain in your roster permanently.

Post-Event Value

Evolved event pets stay in your collection after the summer season closes. Coco and other top-tier evolved pets remain competitive in endgame farming even outside the event window. Pair evolved event pets with pet tier list rankings and summer event guide farming routes for maximum efficiency.

Shells earned from shell orbs and the mine race minigame during the summer event.
Do evolved pets persist through rebirth?
Yes. Like all pets, evolved event pets survive rebirth and remain equipped.
Is Coco better than Bully?
Yes. Current community testing ranks evolved Coco above Bully for overall multiplier value.
Can I evolve artifacts too?
Yes. Artifacts have a separate evolution track using Shells. See the summer event guide for artifact stats.
